Gregory Harold Dison, age 60, died on January 9, 2026. He was born June 15, 1965.
Greg grew up in Rochester and attended Mayo High School, where he was remembered for his charm, good looks, and charismatic personality, quickly becoming a beloved and memorable figure among his classmates.
Greg owned Dison's Cleaners and Launderers and was a graduate of the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute in Laurel, Maryland. He took pride in managing the day-to-day operations, focusing on delivering a high-quality product and exceptional customer service.
When Dison's briefly expanded to include a floral shop, Greg discovered a lifelong love of flowers and plants, and he took pride in tending them around his home.
Greg was a natural storyteller with a warm, welcoming presence, and he loved his dogs dearly. He found his happiest days boating on the river in Wabasha, a hobby he grew up with-often anchored at Federal Island with music, friends, and long summer afternoons.
He shared a close bond with Shantae Davis, whom he loved and cared for as a father figure during her teenage years. He also cherished Kennedy Davis from infancy through her current age of six.
Gregory was preceded in death by his mother, Carmen (McGinnis) Dison, and his beloved son, Hudson Gregory Dison, who died in infancy.
He is survived by his father, Richard Dison; his siblings, Mark, Diane, Thomas, and Charles (Katie) Dison; his uncle Harold Dison and aunt, Mary Duncan, who held a special place in his life; and extended family and friends.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ranfranz & Vine Funeral Home, 5421 Royal Place NW, Rochester. Visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
