Edward Marrion Dison, known as Eddie to his friends and family, passed away in Calhoun, LA on May 29, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on December 9, 1947, in Gregton, TX, Eddie was a man whose life was marked by service, love for adventure, and a deep commitment to his family.
Eddie leaves behind a legacy of unwavering love and dedication to Barbara, his wife of 57 years. Together, they created a family founded on strong values and enduring bonds. He was a devoted father to his children, Jeff Dison and his wife Jennifer, and Tammie Williamson and her husband Robbie. Eddie was also a proud grandfather to Grant Dison and Cooper Williamson, and a cherished step-grandfather to Cole and Seth Rhoten. His guidance and love will be forever remembered by each of them. He is survived by his loving siblings, Larry Dison and his wife Terri, Susie Smith and her husband Glen, and Nancy Lee. Eddie was preceded in death by his dear parents, Vichel and Sadie Dison, his brother, Billy Dison, and brother-in-law, Terry Lee.
Eddie proudly served his country in the Vietnam War as a member of the US Army, instilling in him a sense of discipline and honor that he carried throughout his life. Returning home, his hard work and resilient spirit led him to a rewarding career path that reflected his values and commitment to his community.
Among friends and those who knew him best, Eddie was synonymous with adventure. His passion for old fast cars and drag racing was matched only by his love for the outdoors, where he found solace in fishing and hunting. Eddie will be remembered not only for his adventures but also for the way he inspired others to embrace life with enthusiasm and courage.
Pallbearers are Grant Dison, Shane Dison, Casey Dison, Jason Lee, Jack Sullivan, Cole Rhoten.
