Funeral Mass for Mrs. Norma Dell Olinde, 90, of Monroe, LA, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at St. Matthew Catholic Church in Monroe with Rev. Joseph Martina officiating under the direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home Monroe. Interment will follow at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. until service time on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at the church.
Mrs. Olinde was born on December 9, 1935, in Maringouin, LA, and passed away on February 4, 2026, in Monroe at her residence surrounded by family members. She graduated from Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in 1957 as a Registered Nurse. She returned to her nursing career as a school nurse for Ouachita Parish School System after raising her children. She enjoyed reading and loved visiting with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Norma lived every day with faith, kindness, and grace. She was a true example of Christ's unconditional Love.
Mrs. Olinde was preceded in death by parents, Norman Joseph LeBlanc and Mary Ellen Grimmer LeBlanc; husband, Wallace Joseph Durel Olinde, Sr.; siblings, Carolyn Rinker, Charles LeBlanc Sr., and Dinah Wallace; and grandson, Scott Rasmussen.
Survivors include her children, Wallace Joseph Olinde, Jr. (Michele Whitley Olinde), Mary Ellen McClung (Daniel McClung), Larry Olinde (Joe Farrar), Roger Olinde (Kimberly Franks Olinde), Kurt D. Olinde (Melanie Page Olinde), and Dianna Rasmussen; grandchildren, Lindsay Olinde Harrell (Dylan Harrell), Wallace J. “Trey” Olinde III, Michael Olinde, Kristin Otting (Robert Otting), Daniel McClung, Jr. (Sally White McClung), Derek Stone (Rachel Hornsby Stone), Sydney Stone Cade (Joe Cade), Ashlie Olinde, Kurt Olinde Jr., Norma Grace Olinde, and Blaise Olinde; great grandchildren, Rooney Dell Harrell, Elliot and Emma Otting, Olivia and Lucy Stone, Amelia Cade, Evie Dell, Roxanne, and Wren McClung.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to St. Joseph Hospice and the numerous other healthcare providers for their care and kindness shown to Mrs. Olinde.
