Gregory Epperson Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home & Crematory of Fayetteville on Apr. 7, 2025.
Gregory Allen Epperson, age 63, of Miami Oklahoma, passed away at his home on April 3, 2025 in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born on October 16, 1961 to Dale Eugene Epperson, Sr, and Colleen Louise (Hansford) Epperson.
Gregory spent much of his career in the automotive industry, beginning as a car salesman and eventually owning and operating his own car dealership. He also ran a successful landscaping business and held a real estate license, reflecting his entrepreneurial drive, resilience, and versatility throughout his life.
Greg had a deep love for the outdoors and spent some of his happiest moments hunting and fishing alongside his son. He was an avid golfer, a natural storyteller, and rarely passed up a chance to be outside -- especially if it meant firing up the grill and cooking for those he loved. He had a special bond with animals, a passion for being in nature, and a way of making ordinary moments feel like memories. Known for his quick wit and unmistakable charisma, Greg could light up a room, no matter the circumstance. He had a gift for humor and connection. One of his favorite sayings was, "Everything is so serious-you've got to joke around some," and he lived by that mantra, even in the hardest times.
Though his final years were marked by illness, they were only one chapter in a much larger and epic story – one defined by deep love, strength, and enduring perseverance. His strength, humor, and deep love for his family remained at the heart of him. What we carry forward are the memories of who he was at his core-a man who loved the outdoors, cherished his family more than life itself, and could make a stranger feel like an old friend with just a few words.
Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Colleen Epperson. He is survived by his three children: Clint Epperson, Kaitlyn Hohenstein and her husband Tyler, and Gregory Tyler Epperson. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Cale Epperson and Tyler Lee Hohenstein, Jr.; his father, Dale Epperson, Sr.; and two brothers, Dale Epperson, Jr. and Michael Epperson.
Services will be held privately with the family residence. To leave a tribute, please visit www.bernafuneralhomes.com. Cremation arrangements are by Nelson-Berna Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
