Gregory R. Felix, 65, of Marysville, passed away Sunday, August 20, 2023 at Bluebird of Marysville following many months of failing health.

A devoted husband, father and papa, Greg loved his family and cherished his time he spent with them. Whether it was coaching his children in their younger years or attending the activities of his grandchildren, he was always involved. Having a kind, caring heart, he gave unselfishly of himself and his time. Never one to sit still, he was usually working on some sort of project. Greg was known to look for a deal, and loved the thrill of searching for them. He also enjoyed golfing, playing card games and board games, and playing softball with his teammates on the Old Timers.

He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics from the Ohio State University and worked as a director of IT for many years with Cincinnati Bell. Feeling a need for change at the age of 50, he obtained his Master’s Degree from Wright State University. As an employee of Ohio Hi-Point, he taught at ECHS in Marysville in recent years. Greg was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Marysville.

Born August 8, 1958 in Cincinnati, he was the son of the late Joseph and Hilda (Hunteman) Felix.

On November 10, 1984 on the campus of Ohio State, he married his wife of nearly 39 years, Pamela (Whalen) Felix and she resides in Marysville. He is also survived by his children, Katie (Matt) Gillaugh of Dublin, Matthew (Kristi) Felix of Cincinnati and Daniel (Candice) Felix of Marysville; grandchildren, Abbie and Brooke Gillaugh, Oliver, Kyler and Sebastian Felix; brothers and sisters, Joe Felix, Cecilia Felix and Paul (Terri) Felix, all of Cincinnati, John (Karen) Felix of Cleveland, Jerry (Linda) Felix of FL, Terri (Steve) McDonough and Chris (Cara) Felix, both of Cincinnati; nine nieces and nephews; along with many other extended family and friends.

A memorial Mass will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church 1033 W. Fifth St. Marysville with Father Kevin Kavanagh officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service on Saturday beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the church. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests a memorial contribution be made to The AFTD (theaftd.org), 360Care Hospice or the activities fund at the Bluebird of Marysville. Envelopes will be available at the church. Arrangements are being handled by the Wilson Funeral Home, Mannasmith Chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.wilsonfuneralhomesinc.com
