Gregory George Obituary
Gregory R. George, 64, a long-time resident of Sylvania, OH, passed away suddenly at Flower Hospital, Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Greg was born August 2, 1959, in Elkhart, IN, to parents Richard and Bette (Hite) George, and they preceded him in death.
Greg was an outside lumber salesman, employed with 84 Lumber for more than 30 years, and for the past 10 years working with Carter Lumber. His efforts resulted in trips to Hawaii and Aruba.
Greg absolutely loved the water. He married Alice Kincses in 1982 and she shared his love of Lake Erie. Over their 42 years together the couple enjoyed a magical life together. Countless hours were spent on their yacht the Nauti Nikki, that is moored at the Port Clinton Yacht Club, PCYC, where they have been members for many years.
Greg is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter, Nicole (Ray) Canfield; grandchildren, Meadow and Raiden; sister, Becky George; brother, Mark Rowe; and stepmother, Pat George. Preceded in death by his brother, Douglas George.
Friends may call at the Reeb Funeral Home, 5712 N. Main St. Sylvania, Ohio, Friday, June 21, 2024, from 11:00am until 1:00pm. Those wishing to offer memorials in Greg's memory, in lieu of flowers, are asked to consider the charity of their choice.
Greg loved his family, the Lake Erie Islands, Notre Dame Football, Rock and Roll Music, tank tops, and flipflops, the world is a better place because he was in it. Online condolences to reebfuneralhome.com
