Gregory Heck Obituary
In addition to his beloved wife of nearly nine years, Greg is survived by his daughter, Shyla Marie Heck of Christopher, Illinois; grandchildren, Avery Laken Marie Key and Brayley Willow Marie Heck; daughter-in-law, Emily Heck of Woodlawn, Illinois; siblings, Tammy Cullen of Woodlawn, Illinois and Larry Robert "Bobby" Heck of Mount Vernon, Illinois; many close friends including, Josh Cates, Matt Pierce, Jim Nelson, Bryan Brown, Jacop Keip; and fur babies, Opie Doe, Remi Doe, Sylvie (Ki-Ki), and Ellie Belle.
In addition to his parents, Gregory was preceded in death by his son, Braden Michael Heck; brother, Allen Ray Heck; and Andy Paws (Bear-Bear).
Greg owned and operated Greg's Renovations for over twenty-five years. Greg was an avid fisherman and loved hanging out with his family and friends. He was exceptional at grilling and smoking meat. Greg loved music and enjoyed doing anything outdoors. He worked hard and played hard. Greg loved his granddaughters very much and his fur babies.
A Visitation will be held Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will be held Friday, April 28, 2023 at 10:30 am at Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens in Woodlawn, Illinois with Reverend Jimmie Fitzjerrells officiating. Interment will follow. Memorials may be made in Greg's honor to the Heck family in care of Jamie Heck.
