Gregory R. Issa

April 8, 1985 – August 17, 2025

Gregory R. Issa, lifelong resident of Somers, Connecticut, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 17, 2025. He led a rich and full life, bringing creativity and care to everything and everyone he encountered in his all-too-brief 40 years.

The youngest son of Bob and Lynn Issa, Greg was a child who found and fostered a friendship circle that was small and tight and he invested so much love into deepening those relationships over the years and loved deeply.

Greg was an accomplished musician and a natural-born Lead Guitarist who loved jamming and performing in multiple bands over the years. A guitar and amp were always close by. His passion for music was contagious and he generously shared that with his family, friends, and colleagues.

Beginning with his earliest part-time jobs – in the tobacco fields, catering, band gigs – Greg demonstrated a strong work ethic and determination to pay his own way in life. While a student at Westfield State College, Greg joined the LEGO Group, picking up the baton from his mother Lynn on the customer service team. Greg distinguished himself by his seemingly unlimited capacity for work, passion for the LEGO brand, and ability to quickly build trust. In 2007, Greg graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and Management and took multiple roles across the organization in both the US and Canada. Over his 21 years at the LEGO Group, Greg worked passionately to foster his career and most recently became Head of Americas Supply and Inventory Planning.

Greg and Jordyn met in 2019 and he knew right away she would be the love of his life. Following a whirlwind courtship, Greg and Jordyn married in a beachside ceremony in 2021. Greg also gained his "bonus daughter" Jillian, whom he loved beyond measure and treated her as his own, from the very beginning. Together, the three embarked on adventures and built a loving and lively home – in Somers, and at their small beach cottage in Clinton, CT – where they regularly hosted friends and family and enjoyed all life had to offer. He had an incredible ability to never take the things they had for granted. He knew how lucky he was in love and life and he worked hard to instill that appreciation and ability to love and to be loved deeply into his family. While the time was not nearly long enough, being loved by Greg was truly the biggest gift Jordyn & Jillian were ever given and will be cherished forever.

Greg is survived by his beloved wife Jordyn and stepdaughter Jillian Curtis, parents Bob and Lynn Issa, his brother Jonathan Issa, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly.

His warmth, humor, and dedication will be remembered always.

A private burial will be held at the convenience of the family, with a celebration of life to be announced at a later date.
