Gregory Roy Karkutt, age 70, of Atlanta, Michigan passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026 at his daughter’s home in Kincheloe. Greg was born on July 25, 1955 in Mio, Michigan to the late Robert and Shirley (Madden) Karkutt. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a dedicated member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3544 in Comins.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Greg found his greatest joy in the outdoors. He cherished time spent in the woods, especially alongside his loyal husky, Kody. A man of many talents, Greg enjoyed woodworking and took pride in making wine from grapes grown on the family farm. He also loved shooting pool with his brothers and friends, creating memories filled with laughter and camaraderie.
Greg was known for his kind heart, steady presence, and unwavering willingness to help anyone in need. His calm spirit brought comfort to those around him and his absence will be deeply felt by all who knew and loved him.
He is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Michelle (Robert John Zaccaria) Nagle, Melissa (Allen) Joseph, and Ashely Thorn; his grandchildren, Rebekka Nagle, Dennis Morgan, Donna Volcjak, Tommy Hagan, Sarah Michelle, and Michael Fagan; siblings, Larry (Lottie) Karkutt, Bobbi (George) Barr, Renee Bugg, and Randy (Diane) Karkutt; and many nieces and nephews.
