Gregory Lynn Koehn was born to Michael and Cynthia Koehn at Dodge City, Kansas on September 10, 1979. His Heavenly Father gently called him home on September 21, 2025 surrounded by family, shortly after his 46th birthday.

He spent the first week of his life in the hospital, due to pneumonia. It is interesting to us that he again had pneumonia in mid-life and that is also what took his life. He and his sister Kendra were fond playmates. His school days were spent at the Montezuma and Homeland Christian schools. His school mates remember him as a good soft ball player, fast runner and one you wanted on your team. A highlight of his youth was climbing Longs Peak with friends. He also fondly remembered various camp outs, youth activities, and taking a trip with his Grandpa Harold.

After giving his heart to the Lord, he was baptized on April 24, 1994, being the first baptism in the newly formed Plains View congregation. Greg was a conscientious Christian, always ready to live his convictions and freely admitting his mistakes. The Church and her ways were important to him. Greg married me, Emily Kresek, May 5, 2002 in Tonasket, WA. I was the queen of his heart, the center of his universe. He loved, cared, and provided well for me. Our children, Micah, Carmyn, and Jamin were a special part of his life. When Micah married Lin, it was an answer to our prayers for another child. The time we spent involved with the mission work in Dodge City was a highlight for both of us! I always appreciated his easy-going ways. He lived in the moment, seldom worrying about the future or regretting the past. He patiently endured suffering this past year, rarely complaining. I enjoyed being able to care for him and walk by his side during this difficult journey.

Family time was important to Greg whether going to Washington to see Emily's family, attending family get togethers, or sharing time with his children. His boys remember he was always willing to let them do the jobs they liked best, doing the rest himself. He loved raising cattle, farming and mechanic work. He was a steady worker and kept at a job until it was finished. Harvest time was always a highlight and it is special to us that God called him home during this time of the year. His family and friends remember him as a good listener with a ready smile and happy countenance. Greg didn't have a lot to say in a group setting, but later shared what he heard with those closest to him. Although his life was short, we are thankful for his assurance of salvation.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Emily, their children, Micah and Lin, Ulysses, KS, Carmyn currently teaching in Bloomfield, IA, and Jamin of the home. His parents, Michael and Cynthia Koehn, Plains View, his siblings, Kendra and Lowell Becker, Finger Lakes, NY, Sheri and Eric Schmidt, Sheldon and Becca, and Derek and Rachel, all of the Plains View congregation. Emily's parents Tom and Betty Kresek Tonasket, WA, her siblings Laura and Landon Becker, Soldotna, AK, Andrew and Bethany Oakridge, MO, Luke and Theresa, Isaac and Charla, Owen and Katy, Stephen and Kari all of Tonasket WA, Angela and Steven Binkley, Hardinsburg, IN, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harold and Lola Koehn, Willard and Lorene Schmidt and an infant niece.
