It is with great sadness that the family of Greg Munn announces his passing on February 26, 2025. He passed away in his sleep, at home, with his wife Stacy at his side. He was married to his bride, Stacy, for 55 years.

Greg had 4 brothers and 3 sisters whom he loved dearly (Erin, Russ, Bill, Raymond, Patty, Holly, and Diane). He also loved being an uncle to his many nieces and nephews.

He was a kind, caring man with a big heart who never met a stranger. Greg was also fun and had a good sense of humor and loved to play pranks on people.

Greg served in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He always said the VA was so helpful with his battle with cancer.

He worked at the Kennedy Space Center for several years. After many mountain camping trips, he fell in love with these Smoky Mountains. He moved with his wife, Stacy, in 1987, and opened a TV repair shop. As a kid, he loved trains, and he got to live out a childhood dream and work for the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad.

Greg will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

“Your life was a blessing and your memory a treasure.”

Please join the family on March 8, 2025 at 12pm for visitation with a celebration of life service at 1pm, both held at Appalachian Funeral Services in Sylva, NC
