Gregory Bernard Nagorski passed away from this life on March 9, 2024, in Del City, Oklahoma at the age of 76. Greg was born on July 16, 1947, in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. As a young man he left home to join the Army where he fought in the 101st Airborne Division, 502 Infantry Regiment and valiantly served for 20 years. After his time in the armed forces, he worked with the US Postal Service where he eventually retired. Gregory enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, his four pawed best friend Sooner and the love of his life, Lena, who preceded him in death in 2015.
Gregory is survived by his son John Nagorski, of Lawton, OK, daughter Louise Angerer (Aaron) of Dundee, MI, bonus children Larry Dobbins of Del City, OK and Jennifer Arani of Oklahoma City, OK, two sisters Gerri Stanzyk and Judi Nagorski, four brothers, Conrad, Ronald, Kenneth "Shorty" and Richard Nagorski, 11 grandchildren, four great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Gregory was preceded in death by his mother Florence Nagorski, father Raymond Nagorski Sr., brother Raymond Nagorski Jr., two sisters Rosemary Borchardt, Elizabeth Raasch, and his partner in life, Lena.
The viewing and services will be held at John M. Ireland & Son funeral home in Moore, Oklahoma. Viewing will occur on Monday, March 18, 2024, from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. Services will be Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 10:00am. Graveside service with military honors and burial will happen immediately after the service at 1:00pm at Fort Sill National Cemetery in Elgin Oklahoma.
