Gregory Ochs Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Willwerscheid Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Grand Avenue Chapel on Apr. 24, 2025.
GREGORY E. M. Ochs In loving memory of Gregory E. M. Ochs September 18th, 1954 - April 14th, 2025. Services will be held Wednesday, May 7th, St. Thomas Moore Church Summit & Lexington Ave. St. Paul, Mn. 10:00am Visitation 11:00 am service, light lunch following service. Burial at 2:00pm Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights. Greg passed peacefully in his home, surrounded by family. Survived by his wife Renee and 10 brothers & sisters. Greg grew up in St. Paul, MN. He lived a full life of love & adventure. Cherished his family and enjoyed spending time hunting, golfing, and fishing. He is now in God's loving hands. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
Greg grew up in a wonderful, loving family of 11 siblings. The Portland Ave. neighborhood was full of kids to play with and go to school with. In high school, Greg was chosen to play his trombone in the band at Richard Nixion's inauguration. After high school, Greg
went on to be one of the best orderlys Midway hospital ever had. Greg helped his brother Dave become an orderly as well. To this day, Dave still uses these wonderful bedside maners Greg taught him. Midway Hospital is where Greg met his loving wife Renee, who not only was a God send to Greg, but to the whole Ochs family. Greg eventually went into business for himself, wallpapering and painting. Greg will be sorrowfully missed by all he loved.

I worked with Greg at Midway hospital back in 1979. I often worked with Greg on Ortho , the night shift. The few of us always had fun.
What a kind and caring person he is! He truly was the best orderly ever, not only for patients but for coworkers alike. We all loved working with Greg!
My condolences to Greg's family.

I´ll always remember the special times with my Mom and Dad. I´m certain Greg will be happy to see them. Between him and you, Renee, I always went home with a peaceful heart. I´ll always, always remember his jokes and that special glint in his eye. He will be greatly missed and my prayers to to him and you.

With all our love,

I was a Luker and Cretin Raider with Greg. I spoke with him before our Cretin 50th reunion but he wasn't able to attend for health reasons. I think this photo may have been of us in Cub Scouts( 2nd Grade?). May God bless him and his family.

I went to grade school and high school with Greg. I hadn't seen him since high school. I was at Running Aces a few years ago and see this guy who looks like Greg so asked him are you Greg Ochs? He looked at me bewildered because he had no idea who I was. I have lost a bit of hair since then. I told him Tom Wind and it was great catching up with him and reminiscing about old times. I would run into Greg a few more times out there and always enjoyed bumping into him! He would even give me a tip on betting the ponies at times. Never bet on the favorites he would say! Rest in peace Greg! May God bless you and your family at this tough time!
