Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stitzel Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc - Reading on Aug. 26, 2025.
Gregory "Greg" Pfennig, 75, passed away on Monday, August 25, 2025.
Greg was born on December 1, 1949, in Reading. He was the son of the late Eric and late Betty (Fidler) Pfennig.

He is survived by his loving wife, Theresa (Montefusco) Pfennig; his sister, Christine (Penny) Pfennig; his three children, Brad Pfennig, husband of Amanda Pfennig; Kristin (Pfennig) York, wife of Thomas York; Jessica (Pfennig) Skelly; and his two cherished grandchildren, Aria Skelly and Lillian Pfennig.
A lifelong fan of the game, Greg fondly cherished his time playing football for the Penn State Nittany Lions. He found great joy in the outdoors. He especially loved hunting with his best friend and cousin, Rudy Pfennig. For 41 years, Greg was a member of the Goodwill Beneficial, where he enjoyed volunteering on the board of directors for many years. He was a dedicated provider and loving family man. His kindness and unwavering support will be deeply missed by his family and friends

A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.

My sympathy to the whole family. Greg and his sister Penny were friends of ours in high school. They were in my late Husbands (Rick) and my wedding. Fond memories Greg and Rick in track.

Greg was a co-worker of Marlene and was a saint. He was quite a worker and always a!it of fun. Besides a co-worker he was a great friend to my husband, Bill and me.

Greg was a kind person who loved his family. He faced many health trials, but kept a smile on his face. He was supportive of his wife and others going through tough times. He found relaxation and friends at Goodwill. He is a person to be celebrated.
