Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shaw Funeral Home, Inc. - Milton on Mar. 4, 2026.
Gregory L. Seibert, 67, of Milton, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2026, from the rooftop of Geisinger Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. He went home to be with our Lord and Savior following a rapid and courageous battle with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Llewellyn and Naomi Seibert and his father-in-law Charles (Ken) McKee, Jr.
Born on July 16, 1958, Greg was a 1977 graduate of Milton High School. He proudly and honorably served his country in the United States Air Force. Greg most recently worked for Stahlnecker Portable Toilets, where he enjoyed meeting new people each day and lending a helping hand. He was grateful to work for the wonderful people of RC Stahlnecker and appreciated the friendships and connections he made along the way. He was a devoted husband to Jamie Emery-Seibert. Together they built a life grounded in faith, family, and community. One of their shared callings was serving as foster parents, opening their home and hearts to children who needed love, structure, and support.
Greg was a proud and loving father to Shelby Hill (Devon), Colby Seibert (Matt), Vanessa Stahlnecker (Adam), Alesha Ashe (Michael), and Ryan Emery. He led with his heart in everything he did, loving fiercely and giving generously, always putting family and friends at the center of his world. He was unmatched in his creativity, especially when it came to Halloween; no one could craft a more unique, imaginative costume, and he wore each one with the joy and commitment of a kid at heart. He taught us that dark chocolate wasn't just a treat but a daily pleasure to be savored anytime. Through his steady example, his children learned that friendships are lasting treasures, meant to be nurtured and celebrated over a lifetime. He filled the home with the sounds of classic rock, showing them that there was nothing better to clean the house to than a great guitar riff and a song you could sing at the top of your lungs. His love, laughter, and the simple traditions he created will stay with them always.
His grandchildren, Colten and Logan Stahlnecker, and Lyla and Cameron Ashe brought tremendous joy to his life. He faithfully attended their sporting events, school programs, and grandparent lunches, offering unwavering support. He believed deeply in youth programs and athletics and took great pride in cheering on the next generation.
Greg generously gave of his time to the community, serving as the Milton Area Swim Team coach and coaching with the Susquehanna Valley YMCA swim team for over 12 years. He valued teamwork, dedication, and helping young athletes grow in both confidence and character.
Every year, Greg turned the backyard into the heart of a beloved tradition by hosting his annual Pig Roast. With his sons-in-law by his side, they would wake up in the early morning hours like kids on Christmas, too excited to sleep any longer. By the time guests arrived, the yard would be filled with laughter, classic rock, the rich smell of slow-roasted pork, and the unmistakable warmth that comes from good food shared with the people that matter most. Greg will be remembered for his faith, quiet strength, and deep love for his family. His legacy lives on in the lives he shaped and in the family he cherished so deeply.
In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, Greg is survived by his siblings: Gwendolyn Arnold (Larry), William Seibert (Kala), and Ted Seibert (Sharon); his mother-in-law Donna McKee, sister-in-law Stacie Moore (Chris), brother-in-law Jason McKee (Nicole) along with several nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives will be received from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday March 8 in the Davis Chapel at Christ Wesleyan Church, 363 Stamm rd., Milton, where a celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Ken Paulhamus officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Milton Area School District Athletics, C/O Rod Harris, 700 Mahoning Street,
Milton, PA 17847. Donations will help support the student-athletes and athletic programs that meant so much to Greg and his commitment to the Milton community.
