Margaret A. Seibert

Margaret Ann Seibert, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 2, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born in Hudson, Michigan, on May 9, 1931, to Paul Monahan Sr. and Cecilia Hartley. She married Wayne Seibert on September 12, 1953. Together they were blessed with 9 children and 55 wonderful years of marriage.

Margaret enjoyed playing cards and crocheting. She was an avid cookie baker, especially known for her gumdrop cookies. She built her life around her family. She loved hosting family gatherings and had an open-door policy when it came to her family and friends. She took great joy in feeding everyone who came to her house and was quick to help anyone who needed it. She was the rock of her family, and handled every hardship with unwavering faith and grace.

She is survived by children, Dennis (Nancy) Seibert, Bruce Seibert, Ted Seibert, Mary (Patty) Seibert-Love, Meg (Jeff) Hoover, Amy (Kevin) Buchholtz; son-in-law, Bobby Lee; daughter-in-law, Shasta Seibert; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; sister, Agnes Vedra; and sister-in-law, Martha Monahan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Seibert; children, Cynthia Seibert-Lee, Gregory Seibert, and Ann Seibert; daughter-in-law, Susan Seibert; grandsons, Nicholas Seibert and Joel Lee; brothers, Patrick (Hazel), Joseph (Phyllis), and Paul Monahan; sister, Mary Lou (James) Rentrop; and brother-in-law, William Vedra.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at Ansberg-West Funeral Home, 3000 W. Sylvania Ave, from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., with a rosary service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, March 6, 2026, at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 4555 North Haven. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
