Gregg was always the " fixer " in our family. He seemed to have been born with the intellect and curiosity needed to understand how things worked; and how they could be repaired, improved upon, or totally rebuilt. As his younger brother, I was always naturally curious how he acquired his ability to figure out all he knew. I always trusted his judgment and often wondered why I couldn't create, repair, or do many of the things he could.
It came as no surprise to any in Gregg's family that he was able to accomplish all he did and be so successful in all his engineering work at 3M. His family was always very important to him. He enjoyed having his children and grandchildren so close to home so he could share in their achievements and life.
His efforts in later years to digitalize and condense the family archives into a concise, yet thorough DVD Library, resulted in a priceless gift for all current and future generations.
Gregg was always one of my family anchors. The world always seemed a little more secure with him in it. I will greatly miss the reassurance he brought to my life. For me, the many priceless memories of Gregg and of our early lives growing up together ( in what now seems like simpler times) will forever keep his spirit alive for me.

Dear Karen and family, sorry to hear of Greg´s passing. We sat beside each other in many classes over the years in junior high and highschool. He was a brilliant guy. Treasure the memories and the years you had together.

Dear Karen and family, so sorry to read about Greg's passing.I remember Greg stopping by Marian's house and he had repaired a chair for her. He was always so kind to mom and dad. Doesn't seem possible that we the cousins are the elders in the Nelsens now . Sending hugs love and prayers to you Karen and girls as I just lost my husband too.Gods blessing and peace.
