Gregory Scott Stoll, 56, of Bloomington passed away Monday, August 12, 2024, at IU Health Hospice House surrounded by his loving family.
Greg was born in Daviess County on April 6, 1968, into the home of C. Jay and Sharon (Waggoner) Stoll. He graduated from Edgewood High School in 1986 and was previously employed by Whitestone and Cook Medical.
Greg was an avid sports fan. He especially loved the Edgewood Mustangs, where he contributed as a football coach, as well as the IU Hoosiers and his cherished Chicago Cubs. In his younger years you could always find him on a baseball field, but more recently he traded his bat for a golf club and spent many hours on the golf course. Greg was always the life of the party and epitome of humor and friendship, never knowing a stranger. He brightened the lives of everyone he met and to say he will be missed is an understatement.
Greg is survived by his mother, Sharon; daughters Kristen (Tyler) Dugan, and Lindsey Stoll; grandchildren Elliott and Lydian Dugan; Sister Kristina (Keith) Freeman; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence "C. Jay" Stoll, as well as his paternal and maternal grandparents.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Chandler Funeral Home in Ellettsville. A funeral service will take place the following day, Friday, August 16, beginning at 1:00 pm with Sam Hobbs officiating. Entombment will follow the service at Chambersville Cemetery.
