Gregory L. Sullivan

Gregory Lynn Sullivan, fondly known as "Sully," of Defiance, Ohio passed away peacefully on August 2, 2025, in his Sebastian Florida home. Greg brought a bold spirit, a big laugh, and an even bigger heart to everyone lucky enough to know him.
Greg was a skilled butcher by trade, known for his hard work and strong hands-but it was his humor, magnetic personality, and gift for conversation that truly defined him. He never met a stranger and could strike up a conversation with anyone. Bull-headed in the best way, Greg stood firm in who he was and loved with his whole heart.
He had a deep love for fishing, playing the drums, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Whether telling a tall tale, keeping the beat, or cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes Greg lived with passion, vigor, and a contagious laugh that filled every room.
Greg is survived by his beloved children, Jennie Lamberty and Gregory L. Sullivan Jr., who carry forward his strength, humor, and unshakable spirit. He is also survived by his sister Jackie Nuttall and granddaughters Evelyn and Lillian Lamberty. He was preceded in death by his parents Loyal and Juanita (Mayes) Sullivan, and his brother Larry Sullivan, who he now joins in peace.
He ended every phone call with his signature line: "Yack at ya later." And that's exactly how he'd want us to say goodbye-not with sadness, but with a smile and the promise to keep talking about the good times. Greg will be deeply missed and forever remembered by those who loved him.
