Gregory Vincent Truschel

Gregory V. Truschel, age 58, of Erie passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at LECOM at Village Square. He was born in Washington, Pennsylvania, on February 1, 1968, to the late Fred and Pearl Jones Truschel.

Greg was a graduate of Erie’s East High School and worked as a Security Supervisor at U.S. Security Associates. He enjoyed reading and loved his dog. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the USS Detroit during the Persian Gulf War.

He is survived by his wife, Gloria A. Truschel; a son, Dan Cairnduff of Portland, Maine; stepdaughters, Jennifer Bailey of Union City, Pennsylvania and Heather Bailey of McKean, Pennsylvania and a stepson, Timothy Bailey of Erie.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.at Harmony Baptist Church, 2067 Old Wattsburg Road, Waterford, Pennsylvania, with Reverend Gary Darnell officiating.
