GREGORY J. TSIRONIS, aged 88, passed away peacefully on January 26th, 2026, with his family by his side. Beloved husband of 44 years to the late Ellie (Galanis), Brother-in-law to Connie and Eleni, dear Uncle to John (wife, Jessica), Niko (wife, Colleen), Rina (husband, Pete), and Big John. He has many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews both here in America and Greece. He is the youngest cherished brother of the late Afroditi, Eleni, Nikki, Kostas, Fotis, and Michael.
Gregory was born on September 29, 1937, in Nestorio, Greece to John and Catherine (Vlahos). He immigrated to Cleveland in the early 1950’s and worked for Bud Industries, in Willoughby, Ohio for over 40 years. After his retirement, Greg could often be found in his garden, having fun doing yard work, or playing the Stock Market. Greg’s greatest joy was spending time with his wife Ellie, who were inseparable and did everything together. He was a big coffee drinker and loved to watch Soccer games. Greg played in the Northeast Ohio International Soccer League, for the Greek Team with his brother Mike, and his hometown village friends from Nestorio, Greece. He said that his greatest memory, even though they lost in the finals, was when the NEO Greek team made it to the International Soccer League Championship Game. Greg often loved traveling to Greece to visit his friends and loved ones.
Gregory was drafted into the US Army, and served full-time for two years, and then six years in the reserves, before being Honorably Discharged from the Military as an E4.
The Graveside service will be held on Friday February 6th, 2026, at 2:15pm, at The Ohio Western Reserve National Military Cemetery, located at 10175 Rawiga Road Seville, Ohio 44270 United States.
