Gregory Tyson

Gregory Lamont Tyson, a man who was as reliable as a well-constructed bookshelf and as dedicated as a seasoned carpenter chiseling a piece of pine, left our physical world on September 25, 2025. Those who knew him as 'G-man' or simply 'Greg' could vouch for the fact that he was a compassionate soul who had a knack for warming the room with his hearty laugh and courageous spirit. Born under the twinkling Christmas lights in Milford, DE, on December 25, 1963. Gregory brought joy and warmth to the world, just as the holiday season does.

Gregory was educated in the Camden City School System. He attended Morgan Village School and attended Camden High School.

Gregory was the epitome of reliability. His caring nature was always on display. He was a courageous soul who found joy in the simple things in life. His love for working with his hands was evident in his hobbies, which included carpentry, electricity, and home restoration. It is said that "A man who works with his hands is a laborer; a man who works with his hands and his brain is a craftsman; but a man who works with his hands and his brain and his heart is an artist." Gregory was indeed an artist, his remarkable creations stands as a testimony to his hard work and dedication.

Gregory found joy in life's simple pleasures - listening to classic oldies by artists like Al Green, trying his luck with the lottery, and discovering treasures through Facebook Marketplace.

His children and family were the center of his universe - the very essence of his existence. Gregory is survived by his loving daughters, Kaila Wyatt and Giovanna Santiago; his cherished granddaughter, Yasmin Cruz; siblings, Vanessa(Randy), Betty, Levina(Jack), Levi, Paul, Paulette (Grady), Terry, and Craig (Crystal); and many nieces, nephews, and friends who will cherish his memory forever.

Gregory is preceded in death by his father, Levi Tyson; his mother, Eva Tyson; and his brother, Mike Anthony Tyson.

In the end, it's not the years in your life that count, but the life in your years. Gregory lived his years fully, leaving behind a legacy of love, courage, and dedication. He was a man whose spirit was as colorful as the blue on his attire. A man like Gregory Tyson, is a man we will always remember.
