Valerie E. Sabetta (nee Theander) age 98, of Wenonah, NJ passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, October 1, 2025. She lived in Wenonah for 72 years. Valerie was born in Tacoma, Washington the daughter of the late Henry W. and Snefrid Christenson Theander. She graduated from Camden High School "Castle of the Hill" Class of 1944.
She worked for the Gloucester County Superior Court where she served as a clerk in the Chancery Civil Divisions for 16 years until her retirement in 1994.
Valerie loved her family and her home. She enjoyed relaxing under her maple tree reading a good book, and was an avid crocheter and made countless Afghans. She also loved doing crossword puzzles and watching Wheel of Fortune.
Surviving are her two daughters, Christine and Beth Ann, and son, Thomas. Granddaughter, Hillary Tiene (Charlie) and great grandchildren Kieran and Fiona. Also, by sister, Terry Scott of Pomona, Kansas.
She was predeceased by her husband, Gene, and daughter Faith. Her sister, Mary Hoeft and brother, Henry P. Theander.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside service, at 2:15pm, on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Eglington Cemetery.
