YADKINVILLE - Mr. Gregory Kim Young, 60, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at Yadkin Nursing Center. He was born April 29, 1964 in Fayette County, West Virginia to Lawrence Edward Young, Sr. and Tressie Aretta Lovejoy Young. Mr. Young worked as a manager in retail for several years. He attended Heaven View Tabernacle when his health permitted, loved his cat, Luca, enjoyed reading westerns, and was always watching NASCAR and football. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Edward Young, Sr, by his sister-in-law, Debbie Young, and by his nephew, Lawrence Edward Young, III. Surviving are his daughter, Tabitha Grace Young, and her mother, Tamera; his mother, Tressie A. Young; sisters and brothers, Aretta Jane (Edward) Johnson, Lawrence Edward (Jeanette) Young, Jr., William Michael Young, James Kevin (Joanna) Young, Algie Allen (Michelle) Young, Lorrie Ann (Walter) Gouge, Bradley Scott (Kristie) Young; 27 nieces and nephews, 58 great-nieces and great-nephews; and his friend, James Allen. The family will receive friends from 2:00-3:00 PM Saturday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral service will follow the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Donald Vaught and Rev. Greg Hurley. Interment will follow in the Yadkin Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home for his service.
