Greta Baker Obituary
She retired from Ohio Valley Medical Center where she worked for 25 years. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church in Wheeling, where she enjoyed working at the food pantry and crocheting prayer shawls for the elderly and persons in need until she was no longer able. She was an avid WVU sports fan.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 2012, by her husband of 65 years, Ralph R. Baker; a son, Ralph Robert Baker; a daughter, Sandra J. Holcomb; and a sister, Barbara LaVerne Helms.
Surviving are her children, Mary Jo Fish, Dubois, PA, Elizabeth A. (Libby) Hoskins, Colerain, OH, Bonnie (Gary) Ebert and Larry J. (Loretta) Baker, Wheeling, WV; 16 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; one great-great grandson; siblings, Shirley Marlene Signorelli, Wheeling, WV, Phillip (Patty) Whitehouse, St. Clairsville, OH, Thomas (Celia) Whitehouse, SC; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, from 11 am until time of service at 4 pm at Kepner Funeral Home, 3545 Jacob Street, Wheeling, WV 26003 (304-232-4060) with Rev. April Forkey officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hope United Methodist Church, 99 Valley Blvd., Wheeling, WV 26003.
