Gretchen L Weng

Gretchen L. Weng, 15, of Chatham, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at her home with her loving family at her side.
Gretchen was born in Livingston, NJ. She was the daughter of Dr. Jenny H. Kim and Dr. Francis L. Weng. Gretchen lived in Short Hills, NJ and later moved to Chatham, NJ. She was a student at her beloved Kent Place School in Summit, NJ. For many years, she had also attended the weekend Tzu Chi Academy in Cedar Grove, NJ.
Gretchen is survived by her loving parents, Dr. Jenny H. Kim, and Dr. Francis L. Weng; her dear brother, Alex Weng; and grandparents, Jung-yun Kim and Dr. Cheng-nan and Fuh-mei Weng. She was the loving niece of Dr. Patricia Weng and her husband Dr. Steven Chang and of Julei Kim and her husband Dr. Parijat Bhatnagar and is also survived by her cherished cousins Ethan Chang and Kayden Bhatnagar and a host of other relatives and friends. Gretchen was predeceased by her grandmother, Dr. Myoung-jwa Kim.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 22, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Kent Place School in the Field House, 42 Norwood Ave, Summit, NJ. Reception to follow. Interment will be held privately.
