Griselda Ruiz, 83, passed away on October 22, 2024. Born on June 08, 1941, in Puerto Plata,
Dominican Republic, to Rafael Cabrera Rothchild and Carmen Arango Martinez.
The youngest of 5 siblings, who preceded her in death; Diego, Gladys, Caesar, and
Zaida Cabrera.
Devoted wife to Rene Ruiz, who passed away too soon on their journey through this life, and are now
reunited in heaven.
Loving mother to daughters Ligia Cruz, who predeased her, and Josephine Cruz Velazquez with son-in-law Robert Bivens;
her five sons and their respective spouses Rene, Richard and Lillian, Sergio and Jennifer, Raymond and Danielle,
and Steven and Martha Ruiz.
She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 1 great grand daughter, numerous nieces, nephews as well as
great grand nieces and nephews, and her God daughter and niece, Marmily Cabrera.
With so much love for a grand family, we would also like to remember her best friend in life Lucia Rodriquez,
who predeceased her and left Griselda with her 2 sons George and Joe Rodriquez, who she loved like her own;
along with Joe's wife Susan, and their 2 children.
A very talented baker, Griselda loved making her Dominican cakes and decorating them extravagantly.
Synonymous with these sweet cakes, we all share memories gathered around her either helping in the
creation of them or eating them during everyone's birthday celebrations. Once you entered through her
front door, you were family. She would welcome you, feed you, and love you like her own.
She lived for her family. She loved her family. She will be eternally missed.
