Grover Harper Obituary
Mr. Harper was born on April 22, 1946 in West Virginia and was the son of the late Grover Carlton Harper and Sally Elizabeth Cooper Harper.
He was a truck driver for Wilson Trucking for 35 years until his retirement. He enjoyed camping, hunting, and working on vehicles. Grover never met a stranger. He will be remembered for the love that he had for his family, especially the grandkids and babies.
Surviving family members include his wife of 37 years, Alice Marie Smith Harper; sons, Timothy Harper and wife, Michelle and Frankie Wenger and wife, Kay; grandchildren, Ashley Snipes, Samantha Thompson, TJ Harper, Megan Collier, Blade Benson, Kaylee Wenger, Brooke Harper, and Emma Harper; twelve great-grandchildren; siblings, Linda Rogers Adkins and husband, Jeff, Sherry Morris and Sandy Englehart and husband, Hans; and numerous extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Lynn Benson; brothers, Randall Harper and Carlton Harper; sisters, Karen Harper Murphy, Joyce Harper Barrix, Janie Ours and Phyllis Paugh; and brother-in-law, Lonnie Morris.
A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m., Friday, December 19, 2025 at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, December 18, 2025, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to offset funeral expenses.

Grover was such a good man! He helped me towing some cars and just being around his smile and positive attitude was always uplifting. my condolences to his family!
