Grover Floyd Welch, 81, lifelong resident of Eudora, AR passed away on April 20, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. He was born on May 7, 1942, to his parents, Floyd Welch and Jessie B. Bennett. Grover worked as a riverboat captain for 45 years, and after retirement enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one granddaughter, Crystal Whitaker; one great grandson, Hunter Whitaker; one brother, Sonny Man; and one sister, Hattie Tugg.
Grover is survived by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis Smith Welch; one daughter, Tammy Whitaker; one son, Ronald (Anna) Welch; three brothers, Henry (Linda) Welch, Bill Welch, and Elvis Welch; three sisters, Wanda Tice, Lena (Jessie) Evans, and Bessie Davis; 6 grandchildren, Cheyenne, Austin, Dakota, John, Dane, and Jordan; and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bishop-King Funeral Home for Grovers funeral expenses.
