Guadalupe Benavidez Flores, 87, entered into eternal rest at her home on Monday, February 3, 2025.
She was born on November 16, 1937 in Aligate, Mississippi to Manuel and Guadalupe (Ramirez) Benavidez who precede her in death. along with her brother, Jesus Benavidez and her sister, Sylvia B. Martinez.
She is survived by her daughters, Lillian (Rick†) Garza, Rowena (Robert) Saravia, Sonia Silva, Sandra (Aaron) Garcia, Kay Dee Benavidez, son, Jesse (Veronica) Flores, 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren. Guadalupe is also survived by her siblings, Beatrice (Rogelio†) Perez, Marcos (Mary) Benavidez, Jose ( Mary) Benavidez; Ofelia (Epi) Becerra and Diana (Pete†) Lopez.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, 10:00 am - 9:00 pm at Duddlesten Funeral Home. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 693 N. 3rd Raymondville, Texas on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in the Raymondville Memorial Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers will be Joey Garza, Miguel Gomez, Jesse Flores, Jr., Joseph Flores, Juan Jose Saravia, Frank Prado Honorary pallbearers are Marcos Reyes and Christian Saravia.
A special thanks to Becky Cruz AKA Lucy for taking care of Guadalupe and being by her side.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Duddlesten Funeral Home, 604 West Hidalgo Ave., Raymondville, Texas.
