Guillermina Gomez

Guillermina (Gereda) Gómez, de 93 años, de Ansonia, falleció el lunes 13 de enero de 2025 en el Hospital Griffin.
Fue la esposa devota del difunto Carlos Gómez durante 31 años. Guillermina nació en San Cristóbal Acasaguastlán, Guatemala, el 20 de septiembre de 1931, hija de las difuntas Mercedes y María Cristina Padilla León Gereda. Fue maestra en Guatemala durante muchos años antes de jubilarse. Disfrutaba viendo telenovelas en español. Sobre todo, apreciaba pasar tiempo con su familia.
Fue la amada madre de Betsy, Gladys, Mayra y Silvia Gómez y hermana de Blanca y Gilda Gereda. A Guillermina también le sobreviven 10 nietos, 20 bisnietos y varios sobrinos y sobrinas. Le precedieron en la muerte 1 hijo, Carlos Gómez, 5 hermanos, Juventino Gereda, Héctor Gereda, Julio Gereda, Marco Tulio Gereda, Fredy Gereda
y 5 hermanas, Natividad Gereda, Candida Gereda, María Cristina Gereda, Consuelo Gereda y Blanca R. Gereda.
El viernes, los amigos pueden visitarla desde las 10:00 a. m. hasta las 12:00 p. m. en la funeraria Edward F. Adzima, 253 Elizabeth St., Derby. Su servicio fúnebre se realizará a las 12:00 p. m. en la funeraria. Los amigos pueden dejar sus condolencias en www.adzimafh.com.

Guillermina (Gereda) Gomez, age 93, of Ansonia entered into rest on Monday, January 13, 2025 at Griffin Hospital.
She was the devoted wife of 31 years to the late Carlos Gomez. Guillermina was born in San Cristobal Acasaguastlan, Guatemala on September 20, 1931 daughter of the late Mercedes and Maria Christina Padilla Leon Gereda. She was a teacher in Guatemala for many years before her retirement. She enjoyed watching Spanish soap operas. Most of all she cherished spending time with her family.
She was the beloved mother of Betsy, Gladys, Mayra and Silvia Gomez and sister of Blanca and Gilda Gereda. Guillermina was also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 1 son, Carlos Gomez, 5 brothers, Juventino Gereda, Héctor Gereda, Julio Gereda, Marco Tulio Gereda, Fredy Gereda and 5 sisters, Natividad Gereda, Candida Gereda, María Cristina Gereda, Consuelo Gereda and Blanca R. Gereda.
