Guillermo Rodriguez, 72, of Rochelle Park, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, November 17, 2025. Guillermo was a self-employed businessman and entrepreneur.
He was born in La Vega, Dominican Republic, and immigrated to the United States in the 70s in pursuit of the American dream. Through hard work, determination, and unwavering faith, Guillermo embraced the opportunities that life in America offered him, even as his heart remained forever tied to the island he loved.
Guillermo dedicated his life to providing for his family and helping others along the way. He was known for his generosity, his wisdom, and his willingness to lend a hand to anyone in need. Over the years, he became a father figure to many, offering guidance, support, and the ability to fix just about anything that was broken-both in homes and in hearts.
Guillermo's faith was the foundation of his life. He lived with the grace of Jesus, placing his family, helping others, and compassion at the center of everything he did. His joyful spirit, love of laughter, and playful pranks brought light to every room he entered. He touched countless lives with his kindness, humility, and wholehearted love.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Julianna; his children Danny and Beliza; his son-in-law Oscar; and his beloved grandchildren David, Alina, and Giulianna. He also leaves behind nine brothers and sisters, as well as many extended family members and friends whom he cherished deeply.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, November 20, 2025, from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Avenue, Paramus, NJ. Funeral Service will be held at 8:30 am on Friday, November 21, 2025, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, followed by a 9:00 am Funeral Mass at Holy Trinity RC Church Hackensack, 34 Maple Avenue, Hackensack. Entombment to follow at Garden of Memories, Township of Washington, NJ.
El entierro tendrá lugar posteriormente en Garden of Memories, Township of Washington, NJ.
