Gurpreet Singh

Gurpreet Singh, 42, of Knightstown passed away following an unexpected health complication on Saturday, February 21, 2026 at his residence. He was born November 14, 1983 in Wolverhampton, United Kingdom to Amarjit Singh and Parmjit (Hare) Kaur.

Gurpreet loved life and was always the center on attention at parties. He studied Criminal Justice earning his Bachelor’s Degree. He was proud of his Indian Heritage and was a self-proclaimed Jagga-Jat. His faith in God was unwavering and he loves his Guru and Jesus. His family taught him the importance of hard work and making a better life for future generations. His Nan (grandmother) taught him to speak Punjabi and he was very proud of this. Cherished memories of watching Punjabi movies with his sisters, and Top of the Pops, his sister playing “Love is All Around.” His niece and nephews meant the world to him. He loved to laugh, dance, and sing along side his wife and partner, Rachelle.

He is survived by his wife, Rachelle McCorkle-Singh; step-children, Katie (Michael) Mead and Jack (Lauren) Adkins; step-grandchildren, Oliver, Jack and Madders; parents, Amarjit Singh and Parmjit Kaur; siblings, Narinder Kaur (Pauly Singh), Sharon Kaur (Terry Dhillon); a niece, Simrat; nephews, Amrit, Danvir, Manvir, Tanvir and Ranvir; mother-in-law, Janet McCorkle; sisters-in-law, Renee (Barry) Edon and Janelle (Greg) Wyatt; brother-in-law, Rich (Emily) McCorkle and several other nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by an uncle, Mohinder Singh and father-in-law, Richard McCorkle.

A celebration of life will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2026 at Wilkinson Church of Christ, 7293 N. State Rd. 109 Wilkinson, Indiana 46186.
