Gus Albert Boyles, 65, of Frontenac, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at his home.

He was born January 4, 1960, in Mississippi to Roger Allen and Shirley (Freer) Stephens. Gus attended Northeast High School in Arma and went on to work as an electrician for CDL Electric for 45 years, dedicating his life to a career he knew well and took great pride in.

He married Robin McCully in the early 1980's, they later divorced. He married Heidi Sue Alexander, who preceded him in death.

Survivors include his children, Jacob Boyles, Marc McCully, Emma Lehman (Levi), and Alexis Friskel (Andrew); a brother, Chuck Boyles (Holli); two stepbrothers, Mike Stephens and Matt Stephens (Jennifer); four sisters, Gail Byrd, Leeanna Burke (Michael), Moria Gauthier (Darrin), and Michelle Walton (Doug); and five grandchildren, Iona, Maeve, Haddie, Luke, and Lane.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Boyles; his mother, Shirley Stephens; his stepfather, John Stephens; and a stepson, Joshua Friskel.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 6th, at Brenner Mortuary. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Friends may leave condolences at brennermortuary.com. Arrangements are under the direction of Brenner Mortuary, Pittsburg.
