Lewis, Gus (Rick) - age 59 of Knoxville departed this life on Tuesday January 10, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Member of the Baptist Faith, and was the owner of G.R. and Son Construction Company. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving in the 101st Airborne. He was a Little League Baseball Coach for many years, an avid Mopar Collector, and an avid Petrobilia Collector. He was preceded in death by parents Gus and Ruby Lewis, uncle Fernley Atkins, and best friend Bill Payne, Sr. He is survived by wife of 18 years Denise Lewis, children and spouses Gus R. Jr. and Heather Lewis, Gresha R. Lewis and Patrick Conner, Rebecca and Joe Malone, Elizabeth and Chris Housewright, Alison and J.R. Sipos, grandchildren Madelyn Ruby Lewis, Declyn Monroe Conner, Gwendolyn Ruby Conner, Jessica and Zachary Malone, and Payton Sipos, aunts and uncles Mabel Jo Atkins, L.M. and Carolyn Whillock, Bill and Shirley Whillock, cousin Lisa Ellis, and beloved pet Diesel. Funeral Services will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Reverend Oliver Wolfenbarger and Reverend Mark Large officiating. Family and friends will leave Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel at 9:15 a.m. Saturday and proceed to Highland Memorial Cemetery for Interment Services at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
