Gustave Francis Mog, 90, was called home to be with the Lord on October 3, 2025.
Dad, who was one of 10 children, was born on December 4, 1934 to the late Gustave and Hilda Mog (nee Eckhardt). He was united in marriage to Carol Piper on May 7, 1960, in West Bend. Mom passed away on May 4, 2022.
Dad enjoyed “putzing” around the house and yard; his garden was always well-managed and plentiful with both flowers and vegetables. He had a drywalling business in his early years, so when he decided that the kitchen needed another cupboard, he cut a hole in the wall and created a new cupboard. He was a meticulous house painter and stainer, in addition to being a talented artist. Our house was never lacking for artwork.
Those left to cherish Gus’s memory include his children, Vicki (Tony) and Wendy (Keith); grandchildren, Gus (Alicia) and Nicki (Taylor) brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Lon and Bonnie; nieces and nephews.
A private service for Gus will be held.
Special “Thank You’s” to Dad’s neighbors who kept an eye on Dad, the staff of New Perspective in West Bend who also kept a watchful eye on Dad, the Froedert medical teams and the Virginia Highlands Care Center.
