Edinburg- Gustavo Ortiz Garcia, 72, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at Rio Grande Regional Medical Center in McAllen, Texas.
Mr. Ortiz was born on December 2, 1951 to Mr. Nicolas Ortiz and Mrs. Aurora Garcia in Mexico.
Mr. Ortiz is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Nicolas Ortiz and Mrs. Aurora Garcia Ortiz and his loving wife, Maria Enriqueta Villarreal.
Left to cherish his memories are his sons, Gustavo Ortiz (Maria Elena), Omar Ortiz (Maria del Carmen Duque), Noe Ortiz (Leticia Perez), Ricardo Ortiz; his daughters, Patricia Ponce (Jesus), Mariana Ramirez (Jose Luis), Valeria Ortiz, Irasema Ortiz (Angel Pacheco); 34 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for Mr. Gustavo Ortiz Garcia is scheduled for Monday, September 2, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm at Salinas Funeral Home- Chapel of the Heavens in Weslaco. Mr. Ortiz will be cremated at a later date at Val Verde Memorial Gardens Crematory in Donna.
Funeral Services have been entrusted to Salinas Funeral Home of Weslaco.
