He was born November 1, 1935 to Guy Leon and Audrey Allen Dowell. He graduated from El Dorado High School in El Dorado, Arkansas and Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. Guy served in the United States Army and after his service had a successful career as a stock broker in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Guy was married to his beloved wife, Nancy, for more than 60 years.
Guy was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy, and his parents.
Guy is survived by his sister, Sarah Griffin, of Shreveport, Louisiana; niece Leslie Scott and husband Tommy of Shreveport, Louisiana; and nephew Chris Griffin and wife Hanni of Rogers, Arkansas.
Per his wishes, he and Nancy will be interred together at Centuries Memorial in Shreveport, Louisiana. Memorial service details are pending.
