Guy W. Fluharty, 62, of Roseville, passed away unexpectedly on July 31, 2025, at his residence. Born on July 1, 1963, in Abilene, Texas, to the late Donald and Janet (Gebhart) Fluharty, his journey through life was marked by adventure, service, and a connection to those he loved. Answering the call of duty, Guy joined the United States Navy, where he proudly served as a mechanic for the Blue Angels. His time with this elite flying squadron was not just a job but the highlight of his life. Guy's passion for aviation was only matched by the thrill he found in the skies, and his stories of flying with the Blue Angels were something he held dear to his heart. After his military service, Guy channeled his love for mechanics into a different kind of thrill-motorcycles and dirt bikes. His adventurous spirit found joy in the roar of engines and the freedom of the open road. Camping outdoors was another of Guy's cherished activities, allowing him to immerse himself in the tranquility of nature. Guy's competitive streak and love for sports were evident in his remarkable talent as a pro disc golfer. Once ranking second in the nation, he approached the game with the same thoughtfulness that he applied to all aspects of his life. Family and friends were the cornerstone of Guy's world. He is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Sharon (Ronnie) Lantz; his niece, Brooke (Bobby) Berry; his nephew, Ryan (Kaylie) Lantz; special friend since kindergarten, Philip Kish, and multiple cousins, extended family members and friends . Guy was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Janet (Gebhart) Fluharty, and his baby sister, Sheila Dawn Fluharty. No calling hours will be observed, and a celebration of Guy's life will be held at a date yet to be determined. Ross-Frash Funeral Homes, Roseville has been entrusted to care for the Fluharty family.
