Guy D. Italien, aged 76, passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, in
Boston, MA, surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 22, 1949, in Haiti, Guy was the cherished son of Delea and Clara Italien. He brought immense joy and laughter into the lives of all who knew him.
A devoted family man, Guy was the beloved husband of Vena Italien, with whom he shared a beautiful and enduring love. He was a dedicated father to his children, Alinx Italien and his wife Sheila of Franklin, Natacha Italien of Hyde Park, Clifton Italien of Hyde Park, Kathia Lotin and her husband Nicholas of Franklin, and Jerry Italien of Florida. He is survived by his oldest sister Denize I Angervil, and brother Huggens Narcise. He is survived by the Andre family, the Benoit family, the St. Pierre family, the St. Fleur family, the Sauveur family, the Cherilus family, the Anilus family, the Narcisse family, the Charles family, the Alupson family, and the November family. He is also survived by Johanne, Valenz, and Woody Italien, and his step son Junior Andre and Jean Robert Bazelais. Survived by his grandchildren, Kyra and Monica Italien, Kerrie and Jason Lotin, Joviannah and Nathaniel Guy Bazelais, and Noah Italien and many nieces and nephews.
Before making Boston his home, Guy honorably served in the Haitian Army and later became a police officer in Haiti, a role he thoroughly enjoyed and took great pride in. His commitment to serving others continued when he moved to the United States, where he owned and operated his own cab business. His strong work ethic and personable nature made him a favorite among his customers and colleagues.
Guy was an active and respected member of the Baptist Dudley Street Church, where he found strength and fellowship. His faith played a significant role in his life and provided a foundation for the values he instilled in his family.
Known for his charismatic personality, Guy relished in the company of his friends. He was often found sharing stories and laughter with those he held dear. His love for social gatherings was evident, as he and his wife, Vena, frequently attended galas, enjoying the music and dance of their vibrant culture.
Above all, Guy loved his family unconditionally. His guidance, support, and unwavering love were the pillars upon which his family stood. He will be remembered as a man who cherished life's simple pleasures, like a good conversation, a hearty laugh, and the warmth of his family around him.
Guy D. Italien lived a life marked by loyalty, service, and love. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, as his spirit remains a guiding light to all who were blessed to know him.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27th, at 10 a.m. at the Boston Missionary Baptiste Church, 336 Dudley St. Roxbury, MA. Visiting hours will be held prior to the service from 8 a.m.-10 a.m. Burial at Oaklawn Cemetery, 427 Cummins Hwy
