Guy Lockridge Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Coffman Funeral Home of Harrison on Oct. 31, 2025.
Guy Lockridge, Sr., age 76, of Bellefonte, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 31, 2025 at home.

The son of Meredith and Emma (Hatter) Lockridge was born May 7, 1949 in La Porte, Indiana. He lived in Boone County most of his life and was a 1967 graduate of Western Grove High School. He married the love of his life, Rosemary (Phillips) Lockridge in 1967 and they enjoyed 56 years, 3 children and 7 grandchildren together until her passing August 23, 2023.

He was a faithful member of Bellefonte Global Methodist Church, serving as the trustee, taking care of all the maintenance. He was committed to the care and upkeep of the church and was always willing to help when needed.

In the 1980's he worked in construction building offshore oil rigs. Guy worked in maintenance for many years for the National Park Service on the Buffalo River and City of Branson Public Works before he retired. After retiring, he continued to work part time for his friend Bill Speers at Bill's RV, where they had many adventures traveling around buying, repairing, and delivering RV's and travel trailers.

Guy loved to work on old cars and restore them to their glory, especially Fords. His latest project was a 1928 Ford Model A. He also enjoyed woodworking and carpentry. He loved watching old westerns and having company over to visit.

He served for many years as a Boy Scout Leader where he shared his love of the outdoors. He accompanied a group of boys to the White House to accept a public service award for their volunteer efforts for clean-up on the Buffalo River, local lakes, cemeteries and the highway.

Guy was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He loved all his grandkids tremendously, no matter their age. After Rosemary's passing, he carried on the role of always remembering birthdays, including those of his nieces and nephews. Guy was giving and helpful, always trying to help anyone and everyone, including strangers. His kind, generous, and loving spirit will be missed by everyone.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Meredith and Emma Lockridge; his wife, Rosetta "Rosemary" Lockridge; and a sister-in-law, Regina Lockridge.

Guy is survived by daughter, Joan Marie "Joanie" Edgmon and husband, Vince Edgmon and granddaughter, Jolie Edgmon; son, Guy Lockridge, Jr, and wife, Kristen Conway Lockridge and grandchildren, Oliva, Brady, and Brooklyn Lockridge; and son, Billy Lockridge and wife, Morgan Cole Lockridge and grandchildren, Sidney, Jackson, and Nora Jo Lockridge; brother, Jim Lockridge; sisters, Margaret Lockridge, Joan Cole and husband, Jim, and Kathy Underwood; and a host of nieces, nephews, and extended relatives.

Visitation will be from 5 PM to 7 PM, Wednesday, November 5 at Coffman Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be at 10 AM, Thursday, November 6 (2025) at Coffman Funeral Home with Pastor Susan Kramer officiating. Burial will follow in Crawford Cemetery near Everton.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

I remember them from church some of the nicest people on earth. In my prayers are the family and friends for the loss of Guy he was definitely a good steward in this life he left a fine example for all to follow him and his wife too you could not ask for better people and the world is emptier without them while the Heavens are rejoicing their home in that beautiful place beyond the blue where the crystal waters flow and the streets paved with gold and our Blessed Jesus Christ reigns with God forevermore.
