Guy O'Neal Posey Sr.

Guy O'Neal Posey, Sr. of Rock Creek, Alabama passed away on January 28, 2026, in

Clanton, Alabama. He was 86 years old.

Guy lived in Rock Creek for 55 years, and was a member of the Rock Creek Church of

God. In his early life, he proudly served his country as a United States Marine.

Following his military service, Guy enjoyed a long and rewarding career as a conductor

and engineer with Burlington Northern Railroad, where he was known for his dedication

and work ethic.

Guy was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Jacqueline (Jackie) Posey;

his brother, Phillip Parsons; his sister, Delene Posey; and his grandsons Jared Posey

and Chase Campbell.

He is survived by his children: Guy O'Neal Posey, Jr. (Cindy), Fay Posey McDonnell

(Terry), Kay Posey Hope (Tim), Terri Posey Love (Tim), and Todd Posey (Missy); twelve

grandchildren:

T.R., Justin, Kara, Meagan, Torey, Hunter, Trae, Kyle, Anna, Kaylan, Brennen and

Scotland and five step grands: T.J McDonnell, Wesley Love, Jill McDonnell Young,

Jillian Love Baccus and Logan Cooley. He is also survived by 25 great-grandchildren.

Guy will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father and grandfather, proud

Marine, and a man of faith whose life was marked by service, family and quiet strength.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
