First, I am deeply sorry for your loss. I wish I had known Guy better but out paths crossed all too quickly. Unfortunately, we lived at opposite ends of Newport. I lived in the fifth ward. I had Guy's cousin Billy for music, 5th grade in Carey school. The one memory I have of Guy was in 6th grade in John Clarke school. Guy sat behind behind me in Math. We both excelled at Math but Guy was a little better. Guy was chosen to advance to the highest level (12th) while I stayed at the 11th level. Guy was one of the nicest people I had met in school.

I believe in God and Heaven and I know you are there with all your friends and family and pets that have gone before you. I can't wait to see you again.

Guy was the nicest man in my karate class 45 years ago!!!I really liked him. Whenever I would run into him on the streets of Newport he would always smile and wave or stop and exchange a few words with me. He always remembered me and remembered my name. Always a smile on his face always pleasant always in a good mood. He was a very nice man. I'm glad I had the pleasure to know him. It always put me in a good mood to see him. He was funny too!!!I'm sorry to hear that he was sick. He will be missed. I apologize to the family that I was not able to attend the services. I have been thinking about him ever since I heard of his passing. I wish I had a chance to see him again and I am ever so glad that we were able to spend that time together in class. He made it a lot easier for me. I feel like he probably did that for a lot of people. I bet he made their lives a lot better. A lot easier. A lot more pleasant!!! I know that he did that for me. I think I made him smile and laugh a couple times too and I'm glad about that...
