Tex Weston

1945 - 2026

Following a long battle with Parkinson's disease, Tex Weston, 80, of McCandless Township, died peacefully Feb. 14, 2026, at home surrounded by family. Born in Dallas, TX, on May 24, 1945, son of the late Harold "Buck" Weston and Gayle Myers Weston. Beloved husband for 26 years of Phyliss Nemeth Weston. Loving father of Cristopher Cody Weston and the late Collin Asher Weston. Brother of Rev. Gary Weston (Bev), Cheryl Pattinson (Jim), Kim Michaels (Russ), and the late Jo Bethea (Ray). Stepfather of Toby Jurecko (Melanie), Holly Jurecko, Meghan Maxwell (Dan), Alexis Jurecko Johnson (Aaron), and the late Jason Jurecko. Step-grandfather of Madeline, Richey, Garrison, Danni Grace, Luke, and Lucy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. A graduate of North Hills High School, Tex attended Edinboro State College and Penn State University before entering the U.S. Army and serving in Vietnam. Tex was the former president and CEO of Northwood Realty, now Berkshire Hathaway. Additionally, he was the founder and president of West Penn Financial and a past president of the Greater Pittsburgh Board of Realtors. His greatest passions included motocross racing, NASCAR, traveling, and boating, and in 2006 he and Phyliss completed the Great Circle. Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Tex's life at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026, in the DoubleTree Hotel, Sheraton Drive, Mars, PA 16046, Cranberry Township. Lunch will be provided.
