Robert D. Patrick of Savannah Lakes Village in McCormick, SC, husband of Susan S. Patrick, died on January 6, 2026. He was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Valentine’s Day, 1941, and was the son of Dale and Betty Patrick.
“Tree,” as he was called during his many basketball days, graduated from North Hills High School in 1959 and Grove City College in 1963. He spent the next 37 years in marketing, sales, and sales management positions with Dow Corning Corporation (The Dow Chemical Company), headquartered in Midland, Michigan.
Bob loved to play golf, and after 30 years in New Jersey, he built the house he had always wanted on the Tara Golf Club in Savannah Lakes Village. The men’s and couples’ golf groups meant an awful lot to him, as they gave him many good times with friends. Unfortunately, a terrible car accident ended his golfing days, so he turned to yard work.
He is survived by Susan, the love of his life for 59 years; daughters Patricia Cooper of Woodinville, Washington, Krista Elwell of East Windsor, New Jersey, and Bridget Michalski of Savannah, Georgia; son Jon Patrick of Pearland, Texas; and eight fantastic grandchildren.
He did not reboard his Train of Life on January 6, 2026, but wishes his friends and family a long ride.
