Guylene FRANKLIN Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Shadel's Colonial Chapel - Lebanon on Jan. 22, 2026.
Guylene Kay Franklin, daughter of Guy and Dorothy Jewel (Buatt) Jennings, was born on August 8, 1949, in Lebanon, Missouri and left the troubles of this world behind, to enter her Heavenly home on January 21, 2026, also in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-six years.

Guylene made a profession of faith in Christ and at the time of her passing was a member of Community Baptist Church. She loved her church family and cherished their support and continued prayers over the years.

Shortly after graduating high school, Guylene began her career in banking. She began in the Kansas City area, later Springfield, Missouri and eventually Lebanon, Missouri. She worked at several local banks, eventually retiring from Mid-Missouri Bank. Her co-workers became her extended family, she loved them, as they did her.

Guylene was an animal lover, especially of her cat, Prince. However, of all the many things she loved about this life, time spent and laughter shared with her family is what she treasured most.

Guylene is survived by three siblings, Sharon Null and her husband Grover, Tim Jennings and his wife Sherry and Gina Sommer and her husband John; one sister-in-law, Marianne Jennings; and granddaughter Avery Hicks; all of Lebanon, MO; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and nephews, who she adored, as if they were her children and grandchildren; other relatives and countless friends.

Those preceding Guylene in death include her parents; two sons, Robert Dale "Robbie" Franklin and Gregory David "Greg" Franklin; and one brother, Tommy Joe Jennings.

Guylene meant so much to so many of us. She will be deeply missed and her memory cherished, until we meet again.

There will be a private graveside service for Guylene at Franklin-Lowery Cemetery, at a later date. Her wishes were to be cremated.

Memorials have been suggested to Franklin-Lowery Cemetery.

Donations can be left at or mailed to Shadel's Colonial Chapel, 1001 N. Lynn or P.O. Box 948, Lebanon, MO 65536.
