Michelle Holton,55, passed away on Monday, February 5, 2024, at St. Joseph Hospital. Born on June 13, 1968, Michelle led a remarkable life filled with love and compassion. Her passing has left an irreplaceable void in the hearts of those who loved her dearly.
Michelle was a dedicated caregiver who poured her heart into raising her children. Her selflessness and unwavering devotion to her family served as an inspiration to all who knew her. Michelle's life was centered around creating a nurturing environment for her children, ensuring they always felt loved and cherished. Her tireless efforts embody the true meaning of unconditional love.
In addition to caring for her family, Michelle enjoyed spending time with her loved ones and friends. She had a gift for making everyone feel at ease in her presence with her kind and welcoming nature. Michelle's compassion knew no bounds; she would go above and beyond for anyone without expecting anything in return. Her warm smile and genuine concern for others brightened countless lives and will be dearly missed.
Michelle graduated from Groves High School as part of the Class of 1986—an accomplishment she cherished dearly. Outside of academics, she discovered a passion for writing that brought joy to her life. Among Michelle's hobbies were singing, sewing, listening to music, playing Bingo, watching her shows, and cooking. These activities allowed her to express herself and find solace in simple pleasures. Through these pastimes, she created lasting memories that will forever live on in the hearts of those who shared these experiences with her.
She is preceded in death by her son, Larry Paul Craig, Jr.
Michelle leaves behind many loving family and friends who will forever cherish the memories they created together. She is survived by her mother, Patricia Turner of Eden; and father, Herman Mingledorff of Millen; husband, Jimmie Irvin Holton of Pembroke; children, Joseph Dylan Holton of Pembroke, Jimmy Irvin Holton Jr. of Wyoming, Pamela Megan Craig of Statesboro, Maci Noelle Holton of Pooler, and Brittany Leighann Holton Collins of Colorado; grandchildren. Kairi Yuna Mixon, Parson Robert Stamm, Raelynn Harper Collins, Claire Jade Collins, Cheyenne Hazel Collins, Wyatt Maverick Holton, Archer Remington Holton; brother Charles "Bubba" Albert Mingledorff of Eden and Brian Scott Mingledorff of Port Wentworth; and best friend, Pam Daring of Guyton, who all hold fond memories of their time spent with Michelle.
A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, from 5 - 7pm at Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at 12 noon in the chapel of Carlson & Riggs Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Marlow Cemetery.
