Gwendolyn Ann Boorse

Gwendolyn Ann Boorse daughter of John William Miller Sr. and Dorothy Miller departed for her life eternal November 19, 2022 at the age of 87.
She is preceded by her parents. She is survived by her husband David George Boorse; her siblings: Jeanette Miller Hartwell, John William Miller Jr, and Harley Miller (Doreen Velnich); her children and children-in-law: Mark Bendavid and Brenda Boorse, Dorothy Florence Boorse and Gary Wernsing, Raymond Samuel Boorse III and Carol Boorse, Anna Rebecca Boorse Doubeni and Chyke Doubeni; her grandchildren: Rachael, Rebekah, Galahad, Marvin, Emily Frances, Gabriel, Josiah, Amie, Boloutare, Ebimene, and Oyinpreye; her great grandchild Luna and nieces and nephews: Jeff, Susan, Patricia, Brenda, Debbie, Denise, Rick, George, and Tim.

She was born December 16, 1934 in Martinsburg, West Virginia and moved to Boiling Springs, PA at age 12.

She met her husband Dave at Elizabethtown College and they were married on June 20, 1959. She taught pre-school to college English and History for over 3 decades before transitioning to working as a service representative at Knoll Furniture Company.

Her deep faith in God was evident in everything she did at home, at work, and at church.

She was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, a teacher, a friend. She was strong, gracious, intelligent, kind, and wise. Above all she is a child of God and has been welcomed home to hear "well done my good and faithful servant". We rejoice with her in a race run well and feel blessed to be a part of her life journey.

A Service of Remembrance, open to the public, will be held December 10, 2022 10:00AM at The Church of the Holy Spirit, Episcopal 2871 Barndt Road, Harleysville, PA with a light reception to follow.
