Gwendolyn Broward

Broward – Gwendolyn Broward, age 81, of Callahan, Florida passed away on December 4, 2023, at UF Health Jacksonville. She was born on August 6, 1942, in Lawtey, Florida to the late Ernest Raulerson and Loca Cannon Raulerson. Gwen and the love of her life, Edward, wed on July 11,1964 and were happily married for 59 years. Together they shared 2 children, Tamara and Theron. Gwen was a retired nutrition educator for the University of Florida and a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, canning, and sewing but more than anything Gwen loved to spend time with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother that will be missed dearly. Gwen was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Laura Dinkins.
Gwen is survived by her loving husband, John Edward Broward; children, Tamara (David) Dinkins, Theron Broward; brothers, Marklee Raulerson; sisters, Alice Petrey; grandchildren, Michael (Chelsie) Dinkins, Jonathan (Alyssa) Dinkins, Ella Dinkins; 4 great grandchildren.
A Service for Gwen will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Callahan Church of Christ with Bro. Bill Leonard officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Callahan Church of Christ in Gwen's honor (45137 S. Mickler Street Callahan, Florida 32011).
