Gwendolyn Gail Leasure, age 77, of Kensett, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025. Born on April 12, 1948, Gwendolyn was a beloved member of her community and cherished by all who knew her.
Gwendolyn, best known as Gail, had a passion for cooking and was known for her wonderful culinary skills. She owned several local establishments, including Tootin' Moo in Joy, the County Kitchen in Kensett, and Flowers and Bloom in Kensett, where her warm hospitality and delicious meals brought joy to many. Her love for cooking extended beyond her professional life; she took delight in preparing meals for family and friends, always ensuring that everyone felt welcome at her table.
In addition to her culinary endeavors, Gwendolyn was an active member of the Doniphan Chicks and the Kensett First Baptist Church. She was also an avid Coca-Cola collector, a hobby that brought her much happiness.
Gwendolyn is survived by her son, Jeffrey Dean Leasure (Nekie); granddaughters, Priscilla and Lindsey Leasure; brother, James Armstrong; sister-in-law, Rose Armstrong; niece and nephew, Kelly Dreher, Steven Armstrong, and David Armstrong; aunt, Faye Jones; and numerous cousins, including special friends, Barb Hill, Tammy, and Gordon Toney.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eural Dean Armstrong and Virginia Jones Armstrong; and brother, Eural Dean Armstrong Jr.
A graveside service to celebrate Gwendolyn's life will be held on November 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM at White County Memorial Gardens in Searcy, Arkansas. Her legacy of kindness, hospitality, and love will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Gwendolyn will be dearly missed, but her spirit will forever remain a part of all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
